Create a smart object for the filter layer

Step 1

Create a new 1000x1000 px document, and change the Foreground Color to #f0ca31 and the Background Color to #4e3e05.

Create a new layer on top of the Background layer, name it Texture, and fill it with the Background Color.

Create a foil texture using filters

Step 1

Go to Filter > Render > Clouds.

Step 2

Step 3

Save the file, and go to Select > All, and Edit > Copy to copy the texture.

How to adjust the main background image

Step 1

Create a new 1531x1021 px document, go to File > Place Linked, and open the Birthday concept with paper and confetti image to add it as a Smart Object.

Step 2

Add the paper image

Step 1

Go to File > Place Linked to open the White texture image, and rename its layer to Paper. 

Go to Edit > Transform > Rotate 90° Clockwise, and press the Command + T keys to enter the Free Transform Mode and resize the paper to add in on top of the card in the BackgroundImage.

Hit the Return key when you're done.

Create the text layers

Step 1

Create the text you want, each line in a separate layer, using the font Charlotte.

The Size used here is 200 pt, but feel free to use the settings you like for your text.

Because the font has a ton of glyphs, you can access a character's available glyphs by highlighting it, and then click the glyph you want to use from the alternatives you get.

Step 3

Put all the text layers in a group and name it Text.

How to create a border

Step 1

Pick the Rectangle Tool, and make sure that the Shape option is active in the Options bar.

Add the foil texture

Step 1

We already copied the foil texture when we created it, so go to Edit > Paste to paste it on top of the Text group, and rename its layer to Texture.

Right-click the Texture layer and choose Create Clipping Mask.

After you do so, you can resize the texture as needed.
